Northwest Discussion Supper, 6th April

The CCF traveled to Cheshire where Cllr Fiona Bruce and her husband hosted a discussion supper for CCF members in the North West. Fiona spoke about her experience being elected as the first Conservative Councillor for Penketh Ward on Warrington Council for over twenty years. She told us of some of the obstacles she has overcome in order to make real changes and inspire people to take action in her local community. We were pleased to learn that Fiona was re-elected in her ward last month with an increased majority.

Danny Kruger Discussion Supper

Danny Kruger, Leader Writer for the Daily Telegraph, spoke to a CCF audience on some of the challenges he faces as a Christian in the secular media. He told us that conflict rather than consensus is what sells newspapers and he was kept occupied by the audience who had many questions on the ethical dilemmas for a Christian journalist.
