We were delighted to have Robin Oake speak at our Christmas Reception on 4th December. The growth and expansion of the CCF throughout the year was exemplified by the attendees who included a many people who we have recently met and worked with. Mulled wine, mince pies and canapés were served before Robin gave a moving testimony of his experiences in the police force and of his son Stephen’s death in a terrorist incident while on duty as a police officer in 2003. Robin reminded the audience of the incredible power of forgiveness, the oft forgotten “F” word. We were grateful for the opportunity to show our appreciation to our members and contacts who have been with us throughout another year of the CCF’s work.
