Engagement in Public Life Seminar

On Saturday 10th February we were joined by over 150 attendees from all areas of the Christian community at our Engagement in Public Life Seminar in London. Speakers from a wide range of fields presented nine seminars on different areas of public life, from being a magistrate, to a local councillor, an MPs researcher and becoming an MP.

Each participant took home a resource pack full of handy tips on getting involved in public roles. It was a fantastic day and the feedback has been so good that we are planning to repeat the seminar in Birmingham later this year.

CCF Development Programme - Weekend 3

During the first weekend in February the twelve participants on the Development Programme traveled once again to Birmingham for their third weekend together - this time focussing on leadership. On Friday night Parliamentary candidate Giles Inglis-Jones came to speak on his experiences with the selection process. On Saturday the group spent a gruelling but fascinating day at Caret - a management consultancy company - looking at their leadership skills and how to best use them. On Saturday night Dr Martin Parsons returned for part two of thier study on Islam in Britain and on Sunday morning they finished off with a visit by Alistair Burt MP and his wife Eve, who came to speak on life in Parliament.
