On Friday 29th September twelve new participants gathered in Chorleywood, Herts, for the first weekend of the CCF Development Programme 2006/7. They travelled from as far away as Newcastle to hear CCF Trustee Andrew Selous MP speak on his experiences as a Christian Parliamentarian, as well as the inspiration he derives from the life and work of William Wilberforce and the Clapham Sect. On Saturday the group were joined by Jason Fletcher from the Relationships Foundation to discuss Old Testament Hermeneutics and Politics in the Bible. That evening Dr. Dave Landrum from Christians in Parliament lead an inspiring session on Christian Worldview after which the participants spent some time working on the question, “What is my Creed?” On the next weekend, they will be traveling to Birmingham to spend a day working with Betel, a local drug and alcohol charity.
